Author Guidenlines

  1. General Information

Jutriance, published in association with the Ikatan Cendekiawan Muda Akuntansi (ICMA), welcomes high-quality, original research articles, review papers, and conceptual frameworks. Submissions must advance the theoretical and practical understanding of management, accounting, and related disciplines.

All manuscripts must be submitted in English and must not have been published previously or be under consideration for publication elsewhere.

  1. Manuscript Submission

Authors must submit their manuscripts electronically via the journal's online submission system.

  • File Format: Microsoft Word document (.doc or .docx). PDFs are not accepted for the initial text submission.
  • Cover Letter: All submissions must be accompanied by a cover letter stating the originality of the research, the significance of the findings, and confirming that all authors have agreed to the submission.
  1. Formatting Requirements

To ensure a smooth peer-review and publication process, manuscripts must adhere strictly to the following formatting guidelines:

  • Length: Manuscripts should generally be between 4,000 and 8,000 words, including references, appendices, tables, and figures.
  • Font: Times New Roman, 12-point font.
  • Spacing: 1.5-line spacing throughout the manuscript.
  • Margins: 1 inch (2.54 cm) on all sides.
  • Page Numbers: Included at the bottom center of every page.
  1. Manuscript Structure

Submissions should be organized in the following sequence:

  1. Title Page
  • Title: Concise and informative (maximum 15 words).
  • Author Details: Full names of all authors, institutional affiliations, and email addresses.
  • Corresponding Author: Clearly indicate the author responsible for correspondence, including their email address and phone number.
  1. Abstract and Keywords
  • Abstract: A concise summary of 150–250 words outlining the research objectives, methodology, main findings, and implications. Do not include citations or undefined abbreviations in the abstract.
  • Keywords: Provide 3 to 5 keywords separated by semicolons (e.g., Green Accounting; Audit Quality; Artificial Intelligence; Strategic Management).
  1. Main Text Structure (IMRAD Format)
  • 1. Introduction: State the research background, the problem statement, the research gap, and the objectives of the study.
  • 2. Literature Review: Discuss the conceptual framework and previous relevant studies.
  • 3. Methodology: Provide clear details on the research design, data collection methods, sampling, and analytical tools used.
  • 4. Results and Discussion: Present the findings clearly and support them with data. Discuss the significance of the results in relation to the literature and the study's hypotheses.
  • 5. Conclusion: Summarize the main findings, theoretical and practical implications, limitations of the study, and recommendations for future research.
  1. Acknowledgments (Optional)

Acknowledge individuals, institutions, or funding agencies that significantly contributed to the research.

  1. Tables and Figures
  • Numbering: Number all tables and figures consecutively (e.g., Table 1, Figure 1) and ensure they are cited in the main text.
  • Titles: Provide a brief, descriptive title above each table and below each figure.
  • Quality: Figures must be high resolution (minimum 300 dpi) and legible in black and white.
  1. Citations and References

Jutriance strictly adheres to the American Psychological Association (APA) Style, 7th Edition.

  • In-text citations: Must include the author's surname and the year of publication (e.g., Smith, 2023). For direct quotes, include the page number (e.g., Smith, 2023, p. 45).
  • Reference List: Must be alphabetized and include only the sources cited in the text.
    • Journal Article: Author, A. A., & Author, B. B. (Year). Title of article. Title of Journal, volume number(issue number), page range.
    • Book: Author, A. A. (Year). Title of work: Capital letter also for subtitle. Publisher.
  1. Publication Ethics and Plagiarism Policy

Jutriance upholds the highest standards of publication ethics.

  • Originality: Manuscripts are scanned using similarity-checking software (e.g., Turnitin or iThenticate). The maximum acceptable similarity index is 30%, excluding the bibliography.
  • Authorship: All listed authors must have made a significant scientific contribution to the research. AI tools used for data analysis or manuscript drafting must be transparently disclosed in the methodology or acknowledgments section.
  1. Peer Review Process

All submissions undergo a stringent double-blind peer-review process.

  1. Desk Review: The editorial board assesses the manuscript for scope, formatting, and basic academic standards.
  2. Reviewer Assignment: The manuscript is sent to at least two independent expert reviewers.

Decision: Authors will receive a decision of Accept, Minor Revisions, Major Revisions, or Reject. The typical review cycle takes approximately 6 to 8 weeks
